History |
Believe it or not, Johnny's Fillin Station started in 1985 as a lemonade stand. Johnny had been working at Sea World when he had the opportunity to buy out a burnt down grocery store at the corner of Fern Creek and Michigan. Here, he and his family started making and selling their own frozen lemonade and called it The Lemon Splash. At that time the current dining room was a cooler and batch freezer and the public could come and buy the lemonade via what is now the kitchen. Before long they put some tables in and began selling sandwiches.
In 1992, Johnny quit serving Lemon Splash, added beer and more sandwiches and changed the name to Johnny’s Fillin Station. |

In the mid-90’s Scott Joseph wrote a review calling the Fillin Station, The Best Burger in Town. This was the beginning of the hustling, bustling Fillin Station we all know today. On March 31, 2004, Johnny got a liquor license for his restaurant and the rest is, as they say…history! |
